An action-packed day was had by teams aiming to win the title of 2010 Oztag Tournament Champion proved resulting in a great day out for all participants. The tournament was held on 21 March 2010 at Cooke Park, Belfield in Sydney and successfully drew teams from all nationalities and ages. There were 13 teams involved in a round-robin competition.
A message from Anton (2010 organiser)
On a personal note, it was a very rewarding experience for me to organise and manage this event. There were a number of challenges for me along the way, however it was a learning experience and there are a number of strategies that can be employed in the future to ensure that the organizing process runs more smoothly. I will be more than happy to run similar events in the future and take a more active role in helping organise sports/other events for Palmera. All in all, it was a great day with strong competition, beautiful weather and great music which created a lively atmosphere for all of those involved!
The total profit from the registration fees, food and drink sales was $1000, all of which will be donated to Palmera to assist in the financing of its upcoming projects.
